2025 in Review
One year ago I was working a job I didn’t like at hours that hurt my mental health for below-industry pay. A few months later I would be unceremoniously fired for vague reasons and suffer nearly nine months of frightening unemployment.
Today I am married to the love of my life, working a new job that arrived exactly when I needed it to, and rediscovering what it means to be excited for the future.
Though the blog lay dormant for most of it, I did do some shit during that downtime:
- Read a billion blog posts
- Streamed on Twitch for way too many hours each month
- Applied to a thousand jobs and wrote about half as many cover letters
- Reignited my passion for Magic: The Gathering
- Started a videogame book club
All things considered, I think I did okay.
